Start off with a clean base. Apply a light moisturizer. This is optional, but if you like, you can apply a primer. I have very problematic skin, and primers break me out. I go straight to foundation.
Wet and squeeze your sponge. Use this to apply your foundation. Press, don't swipe. This will make your foundation last longer, and look like skin. Use a foundation that is long lasting. Apply concealer where needed. Also use the sponge to blend. Again: don't swipe!
Apply a setting powder to set everything. This will make everything last longer.
I went for a very strong look, so I skipped blush. But I used a bronzer to contour and slightly warm up my complexion.
If you are using eyeshadow, use a cream eyeshadow. Remember to prime your eyes first. A simple look for the eyes is easier to maintain. I also used a gel eyeliner to pull the whole look together.
When it comes to long lasting makeup, use products you know work. Don't try new products on this day. And waterproof mascara is a must!
Last but not least: lips! Use a lipliner first, then a long lasting matte lipstick. But if you don't want to reapply your lipstick for the entire day, I seriously recomend Rimmel Lipstick Lock. Just like magic.
